Localis and the University of Birmingham are publishing a new paper that makes the case for a disability ‘sector deal’ as part of the government’s industrial strategy.
The disability employment gap is closing, but just not fast enough. The Government has created a number of incentives for employers but still too few are aware of the benefits of employing someone with a disability.
To launch the new report, Penny Mordaunt MP, Minister of State for Department for Work and Pensions, will deliver a keynote speech. The speech will be followed by a panel discussion with report’s authors Prof. Francis Davis, Professor of Communities and Public Policy at University of Birmingham and Liam Booth-Smith, Chief Executive of Localis.
