Ahead of the General Election on Thursday 04 July 2024, we at CSAN are inviting the Catholic community to consider how the Gospel invites us to renew society and build God’s kingdom. As such, we have created some resources – and will continue to add to these – over the next few weeks as we prepare to head to the polls.
As a result of our own reading the signs of the times, we launched our campaign, Do Justice: A Vision for Spiritual and Civic Renewal in England and Wales, in February 2024. In the core text for this campaign, we have returned to the key principles of Catholic Social Teaching which remind us to prioritise the dignity of the human person and pursue the common good.
We are encouraging all Catholics to get involved in this year’s election. If you haven’t already, please register to vote. The deadline for this is midnight on 18 June 2024. If you’re not a British citizen, you may still be eligible to vote. Find out more here: https://canivote.org.uk/
Below you will find our statement for the election and information on the work of our members and friends of the Network.
If you have any feedback or any suggestions for future resources, please email the team at dojustice@csan.org.uk.
