Caritas organisations around Europe are promoting a new film, “The Game: Fortress of Europe”, which reveals some of the harsh conditions faced by people on the roads through the Balkans, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while trying to reach safety in Europe. Financed by the “Active citizens fund Slovenia”, the documentary is the fruit of collaboration between Caritas Slovenia and the Slovenian national television station. As a continuation of the MIND Project on migration and development, the documentary supports efforts by national Caritas agencies advocating in the European Union for more humane and welcoming European migration policies.
